About the Park

Dorney Park was founded in 1884 by Solomon Dorney. It has a total of 7 coasters such as Hydra, the Revenge, and Steel Force. Since 1884, Dorney has also added a waterpark called Wildwater. It is located outside of Allentown, PA. It contains over 50 other rides apart from their coasters. It is situated on 200 acres, making it very large.

Woodstock Express

The Woodstock Express is a smaller, yellow-track steel coaster. This coaster is only 13 feet tall, with a max speed of 13 miles per hour. This car does go around the short track a few times, but it still only has about 263 feet of track. It opened in the year 2000 and was built by Zamperla.

The Wild Mouse at Dorney Park is a classic roller coaster, like the others in Pennsylvania and across the U.S. This ride features multiple 180-degree hairpin turns. This Wild Mouse has a height of just below 50 feet, and a speed that caps out at 28 miles per hour. This coaster opened in the year 2000 in Dorney Park.

Thunderhawk

The Thunderhawk is a classic wooden coaster at Dorney Park. It reaches a max speed of 45 miles per hour. This coaster also has a height of 80 feet. Possessed

The Possessed coaster is an inverted launch ride, where the car goes back and forth, through the station a few times, and up and down tracks that are nearly straight up on either side of the station. The Possessed is considered an inverted impulse launch shuttle coaster. The ride opened in 2008 after it was moved from Geauga Lake in Ohio. The Possessed has a height of 181 feet and a maximum speed of 70 miles per hour.

Hydra The Revenge

Hydra The Revenge is a green, steel coaster at Dorney park. This coaster has a total height of 95 feet tall, with a 105-foot drop. Hydra The Revenge also has a total track length of just under 3,200 feet. This coaster also features seven inversions, and a total duration of two minutes and 35 seconds. Opening in 2005, this coaster was designed and manufactured by Bolliger and Mabillard.
