The Coal Cracker is Hersheypark’s ‘Water Coaster.’ This coaster has a raft instead of a car, and the track is water covered. The Coal Cracker has a height of 55 feet with a 49-foot drop. It has a moderate speed, and a track length of around 2,000 feet, with a duration of approximately three and a half minutes. It opened in 1973 and was designed by Arrow Development.
