Comet

The Comet is Hersheypark’s oldest operating coaster opening in 1946. This coaster is made of wooden tracks and supports, painted blue and white. The Comet reaches hights of 96 feet, with a 78-foot drop. It has 3,360 feet of track, and hits a maximum speed of 50 miles per hour. The Comet was built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company under the direction of the park’s founder, Milton Hershey.
