We are so excited about this!

Cool Cat Bro is super excited to announce that Friday, April 17th we will be hosting our super talented and funny friend Darren Farrell for a virtual book reading. Darren will be reading his second book “Thank you, Octopus” with Cool Cat Bro. We are super thrilled to be able to share this experience and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.

Thank you, Darren Farrell, for doing this reading. We are really looking forward to it!

About the Book

Ahoy!

It’s bedtime, and Octopus is here to help his buddy get ready.

First up is a bath (Thank you, Octopus) . . . in egg salad (No, thank you, Octopus)! Then it’s time to brush teeth… with paint brushes!

And don’t worry, Octopus made sure there were no monsters under the bed… because they’re all in the closet! No, thank you, Octopus!

Each page turn brings new wordplay and laughs in this hip, nautical-themed take on bedtime and friendship… ending with a great big surprise for Octopus and sweet dreams for two best friends.

Buy his books!

These books are fantastic additions to your own child’s library or as a gift. When you order from his website Darren will sign the books and send along some extra bonus swag including stickers and such.

About Darren Farrell

Darren is an award winning author/illustrator. He hails from North Carolina via Seoul, South Korea via Hoboken, NJ via North Carolina.

In his own words

I grew up in North Carolina and loved drawing pictures (especially trying to replicate the caricatures from Mad Magazine). I enjoyed writing too – I wrote poems, jokes and songs. Little known fact: for my entire childhood, I wanted to grow up to be a hip hop superstar.

I went to journalism school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and landed a job on Madison Avenue NYC (where I met my lovely wife). After a whole bunch of years creating incredibly fun advertising work, I sold my first book, Doug-Dennis and the Flyaway Fib.

I recently moved back home to North Carolina, where I continue to make books, visit schools and try my best to spread the joy of reading, writing, art-ing and creating.
